A concert exploring the polar opposites of Liszt’s music with reading of letters to show light on his psychology when writing such disparate music. Programme includes popular showpieces such as the Mephisto Waltz and Paganini Study No.6, and also spiritual pieces such as the Legend of St Francis and Les Jeux d’eaux à la Villa d’Este, and many more little-known gems waiting to be discovered.
A concert with music connected to French composer, Maurice Ravel. Complemented with a reconstructed interview drawn up from real historical documents, the life of one of the greatest composers in the 20th century will be presented to you by our young musicians. Highlights of the programme will include Ondine from Gaspard de la Nuit, Debussy’s Clair de Lune, and works by Satie, de Falla, Mozart and more.

This year, our Young Musicians will be presenting to you the story of Rachmaninoff in music, one the greatest composers/pianists of the 20th century. Solo and chamber music by Rachmaninoff and his contemporaries will be featured. Highlights of this concert will include excerpts from Paganini Rhapsody, 2nd Piano Concerto and Kreisler’s Liebesleid.
