YMS 2019 – Fall Recital: An die Musik
YMS 10th Year Anniversary celebration will reach its finale on Saturday, 28 September (19.30) at Hong Kong City Hall Theatre.
A Schubert themed concert namely An die Musik will feature his solo and chamber music complemented by dramatic representations of the composer and his contemporaries. With this special occasion, we are grateful to have Carol Lin to be our director of the theatrical presentation.
Programme of the concert includes a diverse range of works from songs and dances to sonatas and piano trios and also excerpts from Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations.

YMS 2019 – 10th Year Anniversary Celebration
Highlights of YMS 10th Year Anniversary celebration will be our debut concert at Carnegie Hall on 26 July. Collaborating with the young musicians from the US, these young performers will be presenting an exciting programme of masterpieces by Chopin and Schumann, namely Class of 1810. Please join us if you happen to be around in New York City.
YMS 2019 Spring Recital – Goldberg Variations
2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of the Young Musicians Series. Our first celebratory concert will be on 1 May 2019 where our young musicians will perform J. S. Bach’s Goldberg variations and complete Two-Part Inventions, together works by Rameau, Scarlatti and other Baroque composers.
Special thanks to pianists Stephen Hung and Tra B Nguyen for arranging some of the Inventions into violin cello duo and piano duet for this occasion.

Piano Masterclass by Chun-Chieh Yen
Vantage Music Academy proudly presents a piano masterclass on Friday 28 September by Mr Chun-Chieh Yen, one of the leading pianists of his generation. Our young musicians will be performing music by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Mussorgsky and Liszt.
YMS 2018 Piano Solo Recitals
YMS 2018 will present two solo recitals for our young pianists on 6 October at Hong Kong City Hall. Programme includes music by J.S Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Haydn, Chopin, Liszt, Faure and Debussy.
YMS 2018 Summer Concert – Pictures at an Exhibition
YMS 2018 is excited to present two concerts with solo and chamber music on 22 and 30 September featuring Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Programme also include excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and other iconic works from the Russian tradition.
